I missed my turn for Monaghan yesterday and somehow found myself popping into the NBR to catch up with Maebh and the team. For those of you who don't know me, I am Lesleyann, the North Dublin nappy agent. Things have been moving fast at the NBR in recents months and as I now have two little clothy bums to change I had lost touch with all of the recent developments. So it was great to catch up with all that has been going on, and I must admit it is hard not to get excited about some of the new products, and get carried along by the vibrant atmosphere at the NBR.
My special interest these days are cloth nappies and I can admit it here that I am a bit of a cloth addict. As I said, I have two children. Evan, who will be three on 9th October (almost the same age as the shop), and our newbie Emma aged 6months. We started using cloth with Evan when he was 6weeks old and our first nappy was a mixture of the cotton babies (bumgenius) bamboo nappies and the tots bots bamboo. Both are two pieces and are worn with an outer wrap. My collection then grew to include the bumgenius onesize and All in ones. All different types of nappies but which suited our needs in different ways. So when Emma came along we thought it was only fair to add some 'pink' to our collection...and I decided to buy one organic bumgenius to try out. I bought one only and fell so in love that I had to buy a whole set. I'll be back to review it in the next few days.
Ah sure here is a pic of the two....I can't resist....

As you can see I am very much the proud mama......and not shy to admit it. I also babywear and breastfeed.....but more about that later.
So...thank you Pete for the tea yesterday....and to Aunty Mary, your directions were spot on and we eventually got to Monaghan....and to Maebh, it was great to catch up.
Keep reading in the coming days and weeks as I talk about cloth, babywearing, sling meets and breastfeeding.......all of that crunchy stuff
Lesleyann xxx
